Foam rolling the same spot every day and it keeps locking right back up? Read this.

Most people treat tightness like it’s the problem. It’s not — it’s a signal. That cranky hip, the calf that never loosens, the low back that tightens up by noon… your body is bracing around something deeper.

Rolling feels great for about an hour. Then you’re right back where you started — because you’re managing the symptom, not fixing the cause.

This is a full-body foam rolling + self-myofascial release session you can run before or after training. Roller and trigger point ball, head to toe. Save it and use it.

But if you actually want to find WHY you keep tightening up in the same spots, that’s exactly what my Injury Audit is built for — a self-diagnostic that pinpoints where your pain is really coming from and what to do about it.

👉 Comment “AUDIT” and I’ll send it straight to your DMs.

This is , and she trains HARD here at Show Me Strength.

This is a typical Show Me Strength full-body session for anyone looking to redefine their glutes — training the hips to extend, the core to brace, and the whole posterior chain to fire together.

Strong glutes are what keep your low back happy, your hinge powerful, and your movement pain-free.

Rachel’s full session, start to finish

1️⃣ Band-Resisted Kettlebell Deadlift
2️⃣ DB Hooklying Incline Press
3️⃣ Assisted Single-Leg Kettlebell RDL
4️⃣ Stability Ball Hamstring Curl
5️⃣ Supinated-Grip Seated Lat Pulldown
6️⃣ Band-Resisted Hip Thrust
7️⃣ Back Extensions
8️⃣ Cable Glute Kickback
9️⃣ Off-Bench Oblique Hold w/ Pulse

This is what training looks like at Show Me Strength. Save it and run it on your next full body day. 📌

I was introduced to Mike by his cousin and one of my longtime professional athlete students,

As Mike says here, we truly started from ground zero. Like many driven, high-achieving people, he had poured everything into his career and business ventures, but it came at a significant cost to his health and wellbeing.

My goal with Mike was to build real confidence through fundamentals without overwhelming him. I knew that radically overhauling his lifestyle and routine overnight would only lead to burnout and frustration.

Instead of going from zero to one hundred, we began with consistency: three days a week of basic strength and conditioning.

Once that became a non-negotiable habit, we gradually layered in more—weighted vest walks on off days, hitting his bodyweight in grams of protein, proper hydration, and recovery practices like cold plunging, mobility work, and massage.

Over the course of three years, Mike has lost around 80 pounds while simultaneously building substantial muscle mass.

What impresses me most about Mike is his unwavering consistency. Starting such a journey can feel incredibly daunting when progress begins with small, incremental steps.

But Mike’s dedication never wavered, and that commitment has completely transformed the trajectory of his health and his life.

When .longo64 gets to his goal weight/physique, it will certainly go down as one of the best transformations in the history of Show Me Strength

Your core isn’t built for crunches. It’s built to brace, resist, and rotate. 🔑

Most core training misses this — which is why people grind out endless sit-ups and still feel weak and stiff under load.

A core that actually does its job keeps your spine stable, transfers force, and protects you when you bend, twist, and lift in real life.

These 5 train all of it

1️⃣ Hanging Leg Raise — anti-extension + lower-ab control
2️⃣ Side Bend / Oblique Crunch — lateral strength through the obliques
3️⃣ Landmine Rotation — rotational power and control
4️⃣ Ab Wheel Rollout — deep anti-extension and bracing
5️⃣ Stability Ball Sit-Up — full range flexion with control

Work 2–3 of these into your week and train the core as one system, not just the mirror muscles. Save this for your next session. 📌

Feeling old injuries get in the way when you train? Comment REBUILT and I’ll send you my Old Injury Audit — a simple self-check to find what’s holding your body back.

Sam is the definition of a dream student.

All I ever ask is that people show up consistently, work hard, and bring a positive attitude. Sam earns an A++ in every single category.

Anyone who trains alongside her knows the energy in the room is simply better when she’s there.

We’ve been training together for the better part of 10 years. I still remember writing her workout on the board the day she came up to tell me she was pregnant with Brody.

That didn’t stop her for a second. She trained strong all nine months. Now we’re doing it again—this time to welcome a baby girl into the world.

Beyond being one of the strongest athletes at Show Me Strength (with plenty of PRs and milestones to her name), Sam is also everyone’s favorite person to be around. In my book, that matters most.

Can’t believe it’s already been 10 years. Here’s to the next 10 being even better! 💪🏻

is one of our greatest transformation stories when it comes to raw strength and lean muscle gain.

While she’s always been active and in and out of some form of training, there was real room for growth in her development — and it’s remarkable what consistent strength training can do.

I remember when she couldn’t hang from a pull-up bar for more than five seconds without losing her grip. Fast forward several years, and now she can hang for at least a minute.

She can also deadlift at least her body weight, squat at least her body weight on the bar, knock out 10 push-ups on the ground, and make it through one of my patented conditioning days without missing a beat.

On top of that, she’s added the muscle and strength to make sure that for the next couple of decades, she’s capable of handling whatever life throws her way.

Amy is the definition of an asset to our community, and the gym just wouldn’t be the same without her presence and effort. Cheers to eight years — and the next eight!

I don’t have enough space here to fully express how much has meant to me and to the entire Show Me Strength family.

Every time she walks into the gym, the energy shifts—everyone’s mood instantly lifts. It’s her superpower. That, and always being an empathetic friend for others at the gym to lean on, trust, and connect together as a collective.

When we first started, Michelle’s only prior strength training experiences had been negative, so we took things slow and focused on building her confidence step by step.

Her transformation has been nothing short of remarkable.

As she often says, it wasn’t until we embraced a full-body approach—mind, body, and spirit—that she truly turned the corner in her confidence, physical strength, and overall resilience.

Recently, Michelle achieved her first multiple bodyweight chin-ups, a feat that less than 1% of women will ever accomplish.

Six years have flown by, and I’m endlessly proud to be her coach and to serve as a positive influence and role model of strength in her life.

Mary Lou and Jerry came to me as a referral from Mary Lou’s son and one of my mentors,

John is someone I look up to tremendously in this industry, so for him to trust me with his family means the world.

Like most of my students, they arrived with a history of injuries — shoulders and knees being the main issues. It wasn’t until we intelligently scaled the fundamentals that we truly started building strength and stability around those joints.

You might not be able to change what your MRI looks like, but you can change the muscle that supports those joints. That’s exactly what we’ve been doing together for the past eight years.

What sets seasonal students like Mary Lou and Jerry apart is that they never stop progressing, even when they leave Florida. They never skip training. The moment they head north, they’ve already scheduled their summer sessions with another excellent strength coach,

When training becomes a legitimate lifestyle habit, it turns into second nature. Unfortunately, far too many people their age become immobile and lose the ability to do the things they love — simply because they let their health and strength become an afterthought.

If you’re ready to rebuild your health and strength, DM me “REBUILD” and you could be my next success story.
