Saying goodbye to Lewa Wilderness and our home at Private Wilderness, where six of us arrived as guests and left feeling like family.
From lions, elephants, ostrich and more rhino than we could count, to riding alongside giraffe on horseback and lingering over bush breakfasts in the middle of the plains, every moment was unreal.
Huge thank you to our guide Spookya for keeping us laughing, learning, and fully immersed in this wild, beautiful corner of Kenya – and to Joce and Miranda for being such wonderful hosts and welcoming us so warmly into your home.

Our time in the Mara, and my heart is officially stolen. New camera in hand, surrounded by an incredible group, we spent golden hours tracking big cats, gentle giants, and all the quiet moments in between.
From the treetop elegance of Mara Nyika to the classic, big-sky drama of Mara Plains, every game drive felt like front-row seats to nature’s greatest show. Grateful for this crew, this light, and this corner of Kenya that never stops surprising me.
Who wants to come with me to Africa? I would love to take a small group with me soon!
