Merlin the donkey

Two beautiful gifts I received this year after his passing. Merry Christmas everyone

I just wanted to let everyone know that Merlin was peacefully laid to rest yesterday am with me by his side. He’s finally out of pain and hopefully running around with walker up there. What a special rescue he was and I’m so glad we were able to make him part of our herd for as long as we were.

Merlin enjoying some grass time yesterday while we were waiting g for the farrier and seeing if grandma and grandpa would give him a treat like they do the cats. Grandpa had an apple Uncle Mark he says he’s waiting for your return

Merlin was a good boy today for the farrier with the help of our good friend holding him. It appears his bad knee joint is fusing on its own which is good for his walking we think. He’s been a trooper on this journey. Glad he ended up with us but so upset that someone didn’t take care of him before

Merlin says I can’t believe how hot it is at 9am. Already enjoying his fan time with his buddy cracker in their turnout together

Merlin got an extreme makeover this am with the help of our friend. I haven’t seen someone shed out that much hair since Walker. He’s a good donkey and was happy to get his favorite treat from her when we were done.
