Couple tips:
Clean the lens before taking your photo
Try portrait mode if you have enough light

Catching up from the winter. Focus to your subject's eyes or the moving area, in this case the snow. Don't put your camera away because it's cold, embrace the cold and get creative.

Portrait mode and area of focus... Cell phone cameras are amazing these days. I highly recommend looking for portrait mode on your cell phone camera, focus your object only inches away and ta-da. Portrait mode blurs the background and increases the depth of field!
