You know those moments when no matter what you do, you're just not feeling super inspired?

I've learned that when I get to feeling that way, I need to shake things up and try something new.

This weekend, I had the opportunity to work alongside a friend whose talent and work ethic is unmatched; since I first met him and saw his sports photos (...6ish years ago?! Crazyyy how time flies), I knew he was next-level and that he is. 🐐

Having never shot sports, but feeling that itch for a new challenge, I joined him for a hot and somewhat rainy swfl baseball game at high noon on a Sunday. Basically, complete opposite shooting conditions than what I'm accustomed to.

And it was so much fun.

Shout out to these teens out there doing their thing playing for & to for letting me tag along.

Throwback to 5 years ago at our favorite rainy LA wedding 🤩🤩

Happy 5 years, Racheli & Adam!!!

I love thinking back on weddings on what were the most memorable details... In this case: the rainy day, Adam's velvet suit, Racheli's bouquet & flower crown, the yellow VW bus (that Matt & I ended up driving around since it was manual transmission 🤙🏼), our first traditional Jewish wedding (so many fun traditions!), sage bundles for seating assignments, Chipotle for dinner + a custom Lagunitas IPA, & so. much. laughter & love.

I had this plan to post my 5 favorite color images + 5 fave black & whites, but it was basically impossible to do, so... Here instead are a smattering of some faves, including all of the above-mentioned. 💛 Enjoyyyy

We met Annabel & Warner a few months ago when we were photographing Warner's Grandfather's 90th birthday celebration. 🥳 Warner's mom was actually on "find photographer" duty for said event, and boy are we happy she found us.

Warner has impeccable timing, as he proposed to Annabel just a couple of days before coming to Naples, which gave us the opportunity to have this epic engagement session. 🤩

& last night, I got to shoot their engagement party, which was also nothing short of epic, but more importantly: gave me the opportunity to spend more time around them and their families... And the way they love - and are loved - is truly so so special. 🤍

Consistently grateful for the people our cameras lead us to meet, the intimate moments we get to capture, and building amazing relationships along the way.

Opening Night was fantastic! Honored to have had the chance to sponsor this show 🤍

2023 marks our 8th year of doing business! We've taken millions of photos of tens of thousands of people, all a part of the stories we've had the opportunity to tell.

I'd like to tell a bit of our story today... When I was a child, my mom would play the Sound of Music (2-part VHS - the good ol' days!) on New Year's Eve to keep me awake until midnight. Somehow, that sums me up? 😅 It's remained my all-time favorite.

I also grew up in theatre and spent a decade performing with a local community group in Boston (shoutout to NCT!) & attribute so much of my growth in confidence and love of the arts to that time.

I also grew up in a 1-bedroom apartment for the first decade of my life & while I never went without food or shelter or love, I didn't grow up with much money.

When I moved to Naples and started this business, I had no idea how many opportunities there were to give back and support my local community. There are non-profits galore, providing ample opportunities to practice your generosity somewhere that feels good to you.

Over the last 6 years, we've given a percentage of our sales, and so many hours, back to different organizations whose missions have resonated with us. This year, we chose to sponsor The Sound of Music at The Naples Players (TNP), which is basically a bucket list item I didn't know I had.

If you've not been to a TNP show, you're missing out. I don't care if you've been to every Broadway show from NYC to London; I repeat: you're missing out. Never have I ever experienced such incredible talent and dedication from such a tight-knit family of volunteers and genuinely good humans.

I find myself feeling incredibly humbled and grateful to have reached a point in my life to have built a business that I love and has made a difference to others in meaningful ways.

Hey y'all 👋🏼 Happy Holiday season 🤍

It's been a while since we've shown our faces or posted much here, and for no other reason than that life ebbs and flows and time moves - sometimes what feels like so fast - that how could there possibly be time to do all of the things?! 😅

But here we are and we have been, still married, still documenting stories and creating art, and loving what we get to do. This week, we have had the distinct pleasure of documenting a momentous 90th birthday celebration spanning over 12 days with family coming from all over to partake.

This opportunity has reminded us of how special family is, and how grateful we are that our cameras continue to take us to incredible places, to tell amazing stories, and to meet awesome people.

Not to be taken for granted. 😊

There's that saying... Something about just doing and not saying what you plan to do... but I'm actually very excited that I am finally feeling the pull to share the images we get to create and connect more here on the gram, because really.... I find so much joy in sharing and connecting.... & I think that's a major plus of the human experience!

Big gratitude for every single client, vendor partner & our team members, who make the work we do not only possible, but fulfilling.

Here's to closing out this year in reflection of how much there is to be grateful for, what we wish to change, what we want our lives to look like & how we want them to feel, and moving forward with intention to honor all of those things. 🙏🏼

Back in 2018, we were thiiiiiissss close to booking what sounded like a dream wedding on Martha's Vineyard on 8/18. I was so bummed when they decided not to book us (because we didn't shoot film 😔)

But then...

Literally just a few weeks before the date, we got a call for this wedding, and after meeting Frankie, Zach & their girls, and shooting their super intimate sunrise beach ceremony, I was SO happy. I knew we were right where we were supposed to be.

I love how things come together like that. & since this day, we've had the opportunity to continue working together, which is my favorite kind of relationship building.

Today, Frankie & I were together working on a fun business-related project & she realized that we were together on her anniversary and we had an aw this is so sweeeetttt moment. 🤩
