After ten weeks of intensive training, Recruit Class 26-01 has officially completed our Recruit Academy and are beginning the next chapter of their careers.
Over the last ten weeks, under the guidance of our Training Division, they have learned what it means to be a North Collier firefighter. They were challenged daily by demanding scenarios involving fire suppression, emergency medical care, vehicle extrication, firefighter survival, communications, leadership, and teamwork.
For a North Collier firefighter, this is only the beginning.
Members of Recruit Class 26-01 have received their shift assignments and now they begin their probationary year, one of the most challenging and rewarding periods of a firefighter’s career.
Over the next twelve months, they will rotate through stations across the district, working alongside the best of the best, North Collier Firefighters/EMTs/Paramedics.
Every shift is a classroom.
Every call is a learning opportunity.
Every day includes evaluation.
Probationary firefighters are tested on district geography, standard operating procedures, equipment, emergency medical care, firefighting tactics, communications, and the countless skills required to serve a growing community.
Success is not measured by passing a single test but rather it is earned through consistency, professionalism, humility, and a commitment to getting better every day.
Good luck Class 26-01. Welcome to the greatest job in the works, your journey is just beginning!!

NCXT Misfits are heading back home to the USA, and we are so proud of their accomplishments. First, the invitation alone to represent the United States was an honor, and the experience, connections, and education they received were second to none.
Below is the link to their scenario from Day One of the Holmatro Rescue World competition. The judges' feedback was exceptional, including, but not limited to, the medical care the patient received and the team's excellent communication. They were given the toughest scenario of that day while working on European cars they had never worked on before. We are excited to welcome them home and grateful to the community for your amazing support. We would also like to thank the family of the Team Members, whether you traveled with them or kept everything together at home while they were competing. Their success is your success, and none of this would be possible without your foundation of love and support.
