Collier County announces re-opening of County beaches and beach parking facilities.
On Tuesday, June 2, the Collier County Board of County Commissioners approved the re-opening of Collier County beach parks and parking facilities to normal status and hours. The Collier beach parks and parking facilities are now open from sunrise to sunset seven days a week. Those without County or City beach parking stickers may purchase a daily parking pass for $8 to enter the parking areas.
The public’s cooperation and understanding throughout the closing and re-opening of Collier County beaches and parking facilities has been most appreciated. Individuals are expected to continue to follow the Governor’s Executive Orders and CDC guidance regarding social distancing (six feet apart from non-family members) and to avoid congregating in groups of more than ten.
Collier County Government will be monitoring compliance with protocols to ensure residents are accessing and enjoying the beaches and parks in a safe manner.
The Collier County Board of County Commissioners did not approve a limited fireworks display at the Paradise Coast Sports and Special Events Complex on July 4th.

Naples City Council today approved the reopening of the city’s 8 miles of beaches on Wednesday with complex restrictions. After the beaches were initially reopened April 29, the city closed them Sunday after beachgoers inundated Naples' shore on Saturday. While the city beaches will be open 7 a.m. to dusk weekdays, hours will be bifurcated 7 to 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. to dusk Saturdays, Sundays and Memorial Day. They will be closed during afternoons on weekends to discourage visits by beachgoers from Miami-Dade and Broward counties, which are not permitted to open beaches yet because of the coronavirus pandemic. Beach parking will be restricted to vehicles with city and county beach stickers, parking fines will be doubled to $200 and illegally parked cars can be towed. Council’s fourth motion passed 4-3 after the first three motions failed 4-3 during Monday afternoon’s more than six-hour virtual emergency meeting. Council will revisit the issue on June 3.
