School’s out, the days are longer, and these buttery madeleines are the kind of sweet treat that makes summer feel extra special ☀️✨ Soft, light, and perfectly spongy with a cup of iced coffee, tea, or fresh lemonade.
I love making a batch during summer break because they’re easy to grab for slow mornings, pool snacks, movie nights, or little baking moments with the kids at home. Simple ingredients, cozy vibes, and that beautiful bakery-style shell.

If you grew up eating pondu, then you already know the smell alone brings everyone into the kitchen. ☺️
Slow cooked cassava leaves with blended onions, garlic, green peppers, carrots, palm oil, and raw ground peanuts until rich, thick, and full of flavor. Served hot with rice, fufu, or plantains.
Comfort food every single time.
How do you eat your pondu at home?
Hot days call for cold soup… but make it creamy, refreshing, and unexpected 😏
This cold zucchini soup is light, silky, and packed with flavor — the kind of dish that makes you pause after the first spoonful. And yes… we’re adding ice 👀
The secret? A little cheese for that smooth, rich texture so it stays creamy even when chilled ❄️
Top it with chickpeas, cucumbers, and sun-dried tomatoes for that perfect balance of fresh + bold ✨
Save this for your next hot day — trust me, you’ll want it on repeat.
Sweet, crispy fried plantains tossed in a spicy chili oil dressing with orange, honey, and fresh lime. Each bite hits sweet, tangy, and heat all at once.
Save this for your next side dish. It comes together fast and disappears even faster.

This chili oil brings heat and deep flavor with just a few ingredients. It takes about 10 minutes and changes any dish fast.
I use red pepper flakes, cayenne, and fresh chilies for layers of spice. Hot oil pulls the flavor out right away, then it gets stronger as it sits.
Drizzle it over noodles, eggs, rice, or grilled meat. Start with a small spoon and adjust to your taste.

This lemon herb oil adds fresh flavor in minutes. One simple step at the end of cooking changes the whole dish.
I use lemon zest, cilantro, and bay leaf to build a clean, bright oil. Then I finish with fresh zest for a sharper citrus taste.
Drizzle it over fish, vegetables, rice, or chicken. Even a small spoon makes a difference.
