Before there was Better Homes & Bargains, there was a pile of “junk” in a backyard.
Years ago, my family bought a property that was covered with old metal, gas pumps, signs, and forgotten treasures. While everyone else saw scrap, I saw history. I started researching antiques and collectibles, making phone calls, and learning that one person’s trash really is another person’s treasure.
That experience sparked my love for thrifting, estate sales, vintage hunting, and rescuing pieces that still had life left in them. What started with digging through piles and saving old treasures became a passion and eventually led to opening Better Homes & Bargains.
Today, every corner of the store reflects that same excitement of discovering something special, unique, nostalgic, and worth saving. ❤️
