We wrapped up our district's 'Find Your Spark' week with a memorable outing to the theater to watch Toy Story 5, followed by bonding time at the park where the kids' connections truly sparked.
Thank you to Lee County Florida 4-H and Hendry County 4-H for all you have taught us this year. Can’t wait to see what next year will be.

On Wednesday, we embarked on an inspiring adventure in Lee County, where we discovered the art of crafting our own pickles and sampled store-bought varieties, sparking a lively discussion about our favorites. We also designed and built a solar ovens to create a delicious s'more. The day ended in a series of engaging, thought-provoking games that fostered teamwork and critical thinking.

On Tuesday, we embarked on an unforgettable adventure at Hendry County, where we spent the day unlocking our creativity. We gained valuable skills working with leather and crafted a beautiful leather journal that will hold our cherished memories. For lunch, we grilled and it was absolutely divine and soooo yummy.

Collier County kicked off the district 12 camp Find Your Spark on Monday, empowering kids from Lee and Hendry County to unlock their creativity and teamwork skills through mosaic art, while exploring its rich history and learning to collaborate effectively by navigating challenges together.

Despite the decline in the firefly populations due to habitat loss and decreasing dark spaces, fireflies can still be spotted in Florida. To support these unique insects, try turning off artificial light at night, avoid chemical products in the landscape, and create habitat with native plants and a water source.
