What a fantastic couple of months it's been and continues to be for the Home Watch Industry. March was National Home Watch Month, during which the NHWA sent over 1200 press releases, and NHWA members sent business briefs to publications throughout North America. Freshly created content was posted on social media and shared by our membership, all with the goal of shining a spotlight on legitimate Home Watch business owners and our growing industry. This has resulted in many member companies being featured in their local pubications. The biggest result, of course, is the article featuring three NHWA members from the northeastern US, along with NHWA Founder and Executive Director Jack Luber in the New York Times (online now, in print Sunday April 7th). One of the long term goals of the NHWA - national recognition - has been achieved! Hopefully this article from the NY Times is just the beginning. A few years back Kiplingers Magazine. as well as the NASDAQ Magazine featured the NHWA as well. To keep things rolling, The 2024 NHWA North American Conference kicks off in Dallas, Texas this Thursday the 11th and concludes Sunday the 14th. The NHWA has been getting things done for the past fifteen years - accrediting, certifying and training - and continues to show the "power of the group". We believe in the voices of many, not just the few. Thanks to all of our clients, members, board and committee members, chapters, colleagues and affiliates for your continued trust and support.

JetSet HomeWatch of Naples, Florida, has earned Accredited Member status from the NHWA.

Owner Henrik Lagergren spent the last 25 years as a private pilot, the last 15 of which has been flying all over the world. He has had some incredible experiences and met some unique people on all continents.

Before his career as a pilot, Henrik has always been interested in physics and building and repairing things. His first career was as an automotive mechanic for Ford Motor Company in Stockholm, Sweden, and through the Swedish mandatory military service, he was a mechanic with the Royal Swedish Navy. Henrik served his time on the HMS Orion, Sweden’s only active military vessel in the intelligence arena.

His experiences in flying brought Henrik from Sweden to the U.S. at the age of 21, and he has since resided in Naples for almost 18 years. His reason for leaving a successful career and start his Home Watch business is to be home with his wife and six-year-old son, and to be a present father and husband.

With his unique skills, knowledge, and know-how, Henrik knows that Home Watch is something he will excel in. As an owner/builder, he recently built a guest house on his property for his mother. Henrik says, “There’s nothing we can't do! If I can solve problems in third-world countries, I can surely do it on home turf.” He adds that if they can't do it, they can provide their clients with the names of professionals they can speak with.

Henrik is a graduate of the NHWA’s Home Watch Boot Camp and has earned the designation of Certified Home Watch Professional, which puts him into the category of elite Home Watch providers in the industry. The CHWP designation and Boot Camp training exemplify Henrik’s commitment to Home Watch excellence.

I first met Henrik during my Florida tour in August and saw him again, when he participated in our 2022 North American Conference in October.
