Naples Sail and Power Squadron
The Naples Sail and Power Squadron is a unit of the United States Power Squadron, America's Boating Club.
We promote safe boating by teaching boaters the skills they need to feel confident and have fun on the water.
The Naples Sail & Power Squadron is offering a course which covers the basics of recreational boating. This NASBLA approved boat safety course includes chapters which covers general information about boats and personal watercraft and their maintenance; how to make your boating safer and more comfortable; federal and state laws and regulations that you must follow; prepares you for Florida state licensing and boater ID card.
The classes will be four hours long on Saturday, October 18th and Saturday, October 25th. The cost is $50 per person.

The Naples Sail and Power Squadron will conduct a safe boating class (ABC) at their Training Center on Airport Road. The class will start at 9:00 am on Saturday, March 22nd and Saturday, March 29th and last for three hours on each day. There will be an optional session after each class to practice docking with a boating simulator.
The class will cover such topics as marine law, safe boating, navigation and boating problems among other subjects. The class includes an on-the-water training cruise on a different day. Passing the course qualifies you for the Florida Safe Boating Certification. For more information and/or to sign up for this class email [email protected].

An " America's Boat Class" (ABC) will be held on Saturday, April 20th and Saturday, April 27th beginning at 9:00 AM. This is a two-day class (3-4 hours each class) which also includes an on-water training cruise on a different day.
This class will teach basic boating knowledge with topics such as introduction to boating, boating law, boating safety, navigation, and boating problems among other subjects.
There is a $50 charge for the book and materials payable on the first day of class with cash or check made out to the Naples Sail & Power Squadron.
Completion of the class qualifies you for the Florida Safe Boating certification.
Class will be held at the Naples Sail & Power Squadron's Training Center located at 297 Airport Road North by a certified instructor from the United States Power Squadron.

All boat operators in Florida born after January 1st, 1988 must have completed a boater safety eductions course. Florida residents will receive a Florida Safe Boating Certificate upon completion of the course. The Naples Sail and Power Squadron is offering a Boating Safety Class that will allow you to meet this education requirement and become a boat operator in Florida.
The class will be held Saturday, Feb. 17th and Saturday, Feb. 24, 2024. The fee for books and materials for the class is $50 payable by cash or check to the Naples Sail and Power Squadron the first day of class. Class will begin at 9:00 am on each day and last for 3 hours. After completing the class, a separate on-the-water training cruise will be offered at a different day and is included in the fee.
The classes will be held at the Naples Sail and Power Squadron Training Center, 297 Airport-Pulling Road N. (inside the strip mall that contains Salvia Tile and Stone).

On Wednesday, November 15th at 9:00 am we will hold a Cooperative Charting Cruise to assess the local aids to navigation and any hazards to navigation.
