The Naperville Rotary Ride is held the second Sunday of August each year in South Naperville. It is hosted by the Rotary Club of Naperville-Sunrise.
It started in 1997 and raises thousands of dollars annually for local charities.
As part of our efforts to support fellow local endurance events, we’re excited to help promote the upcoming on Sunday, August 2, 2026 — just one week before the Rotary Ride.
Held at beautiful, this popular community event welcomes athletes of all experience levels, from first-time participants to seasoned triathletes.
The event includes:
Sprint Triathlon (375m swim / 22K bike / 5K run)
Duathlon (1 mile run / 22K bike / 5K run)
Aquabike (375 meter swim / 22K bike)
Kids Triathlon (175 meter swim / 11K bike / 5K run)
The course features a swim at Centennial Beach, a fast 22K bike course through Naperville neighborhoods, and a scenic 5K run along the DuPage River.

The event is designed to be approachable and welcoming, especially for athletes trying their first triathlon.

As you plan your summer riding calendar, we wanted to share another great local cycling event happening before this year’s Naperville Rotary Ride. 🚴
Local avid cyclist and business owner Zac Larson has opened registration for their 3rd Annual Solstice Century Ride on Friday, June 19, 2026.
This unique community-focused event challenges riders to complete 100 miles while raising funds for local charities supporting mental health, housing, youth, and family services. The ride takes place at Whalon Lake in Bolingbrook and is designed to be supportive, encouraging, and fun for cyclists taking on the century challenge.
The event goal:
100 Riders. 100 Miles. $100,000 for charity.

Over the past several years, Zac Larson has spoken with many people about his bike riding. During that time, many people have said to him, “Oh, I could never do that.” With this returning fundraising event, Solstice Century, Zac is giving 100 riders the chance to experience the challenge and exhilaration of participating in a 100 mile bike ride on June 19th, the summer solstice… and we’re doing it for our neighbors in need. Our goal is to raise $100,000 for local charitable organizations in mental health, food, housing and youth services.

It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of our friend and Rotary Club President, Bill Hassett. Bill truly exemplified what it means to be a Rotarian — a person of integrity, compassion, and unwavering commitment to service above self.
Bill led with calm, steady guidance and gave generously of his time and talents to our club and community. Always humble and ready to lend a hand, he found great joy in Rotary’s fellowship and in the meaningful work we do together.
He was a man of kindness, integrity, and quiet strength — a leader who inspired others through his actions and example. Bill’s dedication and spirit of service will continue to guide us and remind us of what Rotary is all about.
He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of serving alongside him.
