My 3rd place run at the WNL competition at Ultimate Ninjas Naperville! This was a really fun, but really long, course! Thanks for putting on such a fun event!

Placed third in the World Ninja League competition at Ultimate Ninjas Naperville! Starting the WNL season right!

UNAA local competition at Ultimate Ninjas Elmhurst. It was a good and fun course! Everything was doable, but I notoriously need to work on endurance. My speed is great towards the beginning, but once I start to get tired, it goes downhill. I'm happy with my run though!

Having been in the sport for nearly 10 years, I've been getting self-conscious about my age. I'm 37 years old, competing against adults and kids 15 to 20+ years younger than me.

I used to think of that as a bad thing, or rather, more of a handicap. But someone recently explained something to me that really changed my perspective on that. There's not very many 37 year olds, let alone 30 year olds, that do what I do. I'm a ninja warrior athlete competing in the elite division, and if I'm not one of the oldest, I'm THE oldest in this division at this point, and instead of others thinking "ew, they're old", I'm at the age where athletes way younger than me might be more so thinking "wow, I hope I'm still that strong and/or competing at that age". Hearing that has made me proud of my age, my health, and fitness. I'm still getting stronger and better in the sport, and I can't see myself ever stopping - until I literally can't do the sport anymore. 💪

Such a fun day, and some super tough courses! It's always a blast hanging out with friends, and making new friends, in the ninja community. I definitely could have made it farther in that second (challenge) course but I forgot there was no stopper 😅 otherwise I totally had that jump!

I'm still very proud of even just making it to Premier Series Finals for the second time in a row. I know exactly what I need to work on and will be focusing on those weaknesses for the next upcoming season, which is right around the corner next month!

See you in the next WNL comps!
