Sonata Problem

Thank you to everyone who came to our final concert! It was a bittersweet night of saying farewell to this school year and our seniors, but we know they are off to great things 💙✨

This past weekend, we had the privilege of performing as special guests in the Chicago Harmony Sweepstakes! We got to watch a fantastic competition and perform two of our own songs ⭐️

Congratulations to for taking home first place and to all the other fantastic groups who competed. Also shoutout to the fantastic host group, 👏

ICCA 2026 was a movie 🕺😛

We had a wonderful time competing against such amazing groups. Congrats to for your deserved win, you all were incredible! ⭐️

Our preview performance was a success!! We had such a great crowd and are excited to take on ICCA this upcoming Saturday ⭐️

We will be competing in the 2026 ICCA Great Lakes Region Quarterfinal on February 7th at the University of Chicago! This event starts at 7pm and we are so excited to be competing. This past Saturday, we had the honor of singing at in Naperville for their 150th anniversary! We had such a great time and loved celebrating our local independent bookstore. Thank you to anyone who stopped by!

Sonata will also have a table at the Student Involvement Fair this Thursday! We will be there to answer any questions you may have and to introduce ourselves :) Stop by! ⭐️

Auditions for the 2025-26 school year are underway…and we want YOU ⭐️

Join us Thursday September 4th at 8:30pm in the Wentz Concert Hall & Fine Arts Center room 138. All you have to do is show up and sing a verse/chorus of any pop song. Super easy, right?

Sonata Problem A-cappella is a competitive singing group at North Central College in Naperville, IL. We perform at numerous events and have regularly competed at the International Competition of Collegiate A-cappella (ICCA) for the past several years. This previous school year, Sonata placed in the top 3 for the first time ever! We look forward seeing what this upcoming school year has to bring and having fun while doing it.
