Winter 2022 Clinic!

Day 1: horse care, grooming, tacking, deep dive into tack and equipment! Girls learned about different bits, grooming, leg protection and how to put each one on, how to take apart and put back together a bridle, and so much more!

Day 2: medical care, horse triage, after care, stretching, how to see any lameness or soreness in a horse and what to do! The girls learned how to poultice, wrap with standing bandages and quilt wraps as well as vet wrap, the anatomy of the horses, how to take a horses temperature, how to see lameness in a horse (thank goodness for YouTube videos to help!) most common injuries and illnesses and how to treat them!

Stay tuned for the final day! The girls have learned so much and are so invested in growing their knowledge on horses and horse care!
