Tutoring for the humanities. Whether it's elementary school, middle school, high school or universit

01/11/2021

History has always been a love of mine. Early on I began reading the Dear America series, which introduced me to the royal version of the diaries. The moment I read Marie Antoinette’s “diary,” I was sold, and I’ve been in love with history ever since!

Throughout school I was always taking a new history class, diving into different books for English, or even trying out a new language. After high school I wanted to explore new parts of the country and pursue athletics, so I moved to Mississippi to attend Delta State University. There I received my Bachelor of Arts in History. Every class I took increased my love of the subject and led me to working with the local history at the university’s Archives and Museum and later at the Amzie Moore House Museum. Museums became a true passion in Mississippi. From there, I moved abroad for a year to attend the University of Leicester where I received my Master of Arts in Museum Studies with distinction.

Since then, my love of history has only grown. Whether it’s watching historical films or shows, reading a book, playing a historically based video game, or giving tours, history is something I live and breathe. History, and the humanities, are not everyone’s thing, but I hope to help bridge that gap and help people connect with the past and understand it a little bit better.
