A vestibule increases a commercial property's energy efficiency and improves the comfort of occupants located nearest the primary entrance. During a vestibule inspection, inspectors will adhere to the International Energy Conservation Code (IECC), which calls for the following standards:
• Primary entrance doors leading into a space greater than 3,000 square feet (which cannot be closed off from the entrance door) must have vestibules.
• All doors opening into and out of the vestibule must be equipped with self-closing doors are not feasible, air curtains can be installed as an alternative to vestibules.
Vestibule falls under commercial inspections which involve a visual examination of accessible areas, physical structure, and operating systems of the space. This process occurs in a timely and efficient manner, giving clients the peace of mind to continue on with business. We understand not all properties are in flawless condition. For this reason, The BrickKicker Commercial Inspectors will provide clients with practical feedback including areas of concern and tips on how to improve your space.
For more information about air curtains, read CCPIA's article Inspecting Air Curtains. Work with The BrickKicker to schedule any commercial inspection today!

Not all property inspectors are created equal. There are many key differences between a home inspection and commercial building inspection, meaning that commercial inspectors need specific qualifications and expertise to get the job done right.
What should you look for in a commercial inspector?
• First, make sure they are insured to provide the scope of services and inspections you need.
• Second, ask for a project list or list of experience.
• Third, make sure they have a clear understanding the scope and extent of your building's needs.
Most residential home inspectors do not understand the complexities and building dynamics associated with a commercial structure, but The BrickKicker is well versed in all types of commercial properties! We've been working in the commercial space for over 30 years, and our trained eye will help you purchase your building intelligently.
