When servicing your batteries please label and take photos before disconnecting anything! Today I had an emergency call from a customer that needed this advise.

I had the opportunity to help a family with their HWH Leveling System. They had a massive leak and was unable to operate their system. Unfortunately, the system also operated 2 of their slides. I was able to repair the leak and get them back on the road. I now have the special HWH fluid on hand because it is not sold locally!

Water heaters are something often overlooked on an RV until they are not providing a constant supply of hot water. RV water heaters should be flushed and inspected at least twice a year; Four times per year if you are a full-timer. I recently helped a customer perform a maintenance on their water heater. This is what I found:

Remember proper wheel bearing maintenance. This trailer had all 4 grease seals leaking. This caused the brakes to drag and not apply correctly. This put flat spots on the tires which added to the cost of repairs.

Repaired a cracked Dometic Rooftop A/C cover today. I have a tool that melts stainless wire into the plastic to perform a very strong repair!

Helped a customer with a Onan 5500 generator in their Toyhauler. It was flashing a service code 3. It would start, but stopped running almost immediately.
This was a very interesting challenge. This toy hauler had 2 power outlets that quit working while the owner was vacuuming their trailer. They needed to shut the vacuum off for some reason and it would not turn back on. I used my tone tool that is usually used to trace phone lines to trace the circuit. It turned out that the hot lead leaving this outlet was loose in the outlet. The outlet was back-wired. I replaced the outlet with a higher quality that used screws for the back-wire attachment. There was not room in the box to pigtail it.

I had the opportunity to help a family from Redwood City who were on their first camp out with a brand new travel trailer. After reaching their campsite, they realized their refrigerator was no longer operating. Unfortunately, it was about 100 degrees outside.
The owner was trying to troubleshoot, but was unsuccessful. I happened to be at the same campground and saw him staring at the service panel of his refrigerator with his tools out. He told me his refrigerator would not turn on.
I was able to make a repair that worked great and the family was able to enjoy their camp out!
