Very tough day yesterday. Very strong winds out on the river. Whitecaps & muddy. Had to seek shelter right up close behind the levies to get out of the wind which limited the number of spots we could fish. Started out calm and foggy but that changed rapidly once the sun came up.

These two octogenarians had me running around the boat for a while there. At least thirty Stripers to the boat casting and cranking lures in the shallows. I spent two days solo scouting with little success before today’s charter and this particular spot produced nothing for me on Sunday. Today they were there from the first cast and they were ravenous. I just keep cycling through the spots, some of them miles apart and hopefully find them for you, somewhere. 🤔

Got a few Stripers this afternoon out in the cold, wind and rain. As usual casting and cranking lures in the shallows. Got the adrenal pumping and I’m feeling quite content tonight. I was wearing about five layers today making me look about 300lb! I also decided to keep a couple of fish this time. Didn’t see any other boats which is quite typical as a lot of people just sit back and wait until they hear good reports before they bother to get out there for themselves.
