Vine Language
Wine. Food. Travel. On our terms. Who is Vine Language? Simply put, Vine Language is about six friends enjoying the good life, and we think it’s worth sharing.
Yes, it really is just this easy! But, I've never had a "Wet Dog" wine! LOL!!
Here's an interesting factoid. Consumers pay more for a glass of pinot gris than for a glass of pinot grigio. The funny thing is…they’re the same grape! Pinot gris is the French name for the grape pinot gris. Pinot grigio is simply the Italian name for pinot gris. So ordering a glass of pinot grigio instead of pinot gris might save you $2 or more!
Spent a fabulous Sunday afternoon visiting El Dorado wineries as part of Passport Weekend: Perry Creek (nice to see you, Joe!), Windwalker, Busby Cellars, Miller Vineyards (Cab Franc and Malbecalicious), Skinner (love 'em all especially when paired with Chef Giovanni's Moussaka!), Lava Cap, Fenton Herriott, and Grace Patriot-all fantastic and friendly spots that served up some pretty substantial gourmet delicacies to pair with their wines. Many thanks to Warren Dill, GM at Fenton Herriott for giving us some insight on El Dorado Wine Country and offering up a cool spot to sip. Spent a little after-time with Steve, Bea, and Tyler Grace of Grace Patriot, learning about their passion for wine and family. Watch for my article as they will be featured in the June issue of D'Vine Wine Guide. My thanks to the El Dorado Hills Winery Association for organizing such an incredible event, one we try to attend every year.
