Man oh man… it’s been challenging but interesting trying to remaster my starter in this new kitchen. Plus with the weather getting warmer…. Omggg I’ve been having a hard time timing feedings and peak rises! But I keep practicing and soon enough, we’ll get there and on to the next bread drop! For those who have asked for some bread, thanks for your patience. Moving is always hectic. But this kitchen… worth it 🤌🏼 I’m excited to see all the creations made in here!

I tried not to blink… I tried so hard. Yet it still went by so fast… Tomorrow you wake up 16…. 1-6!!! I love you sweet girl. Let the celebrations begin! 🎈🤟🏼🥳😘

Learning the complexities of the different ‘crumbs’ of sourdough is a level of nerd I didn’t see myself getting to. But here we are 🤍 A correctly proofed sourdough loaf can have a few different types of crumb. Crumb is the pattern and size of the holes you see in the bread. This one is a tight crumb. The air bubbles are closer together vs a wide crumb (bigger air bubbles spaced wider apart) but still developed properly in the fermentation process. And tastes delish 🤌🏼
