🥍 Photos from today Division 4 state title game versus Cohasset. The Whalers fell 7-6 to the top-seeded Skippers in a game that came down to the final minute.

🥍🏆 The boys lacrosse team is headed back to the state championship after an 8-4 win over third-seeded Manchester-Essex Tuesday. The Whalers will take on top-seeded Cohasset in the final Saturday. Time TBD.

🐋WHALER OF THE WEEK🐋

The senior attacker has been a leading force on the Whalers’ offense all season, helping power the team to this year’s MIAA Div. 4 quarterfinals against top-seeded Sandwich. Damian delivered a standout performance against Bromfield Monday, leading Nantucket with four goals, one assist and one caused turnover. Her leadership as co-captain has set a highly competitive tone both on and off the field.

🐋WHALER OF THE WEEK🐋

The senior shone in the Whalers’ preliminary round playoff game against Greater Lowell Tech, recording two hits including a double in the top of the third inning. Head coach Jack Pearson praised Tejada’s work ethic throughout the season. “Henry has had the most dangerous bat in our lineup all year, and was a dominant pitcher early before suffering a shoulder injury. He’s a great example of showing up and committing yourself to the sport both on and off the field.”

🥍 The #8 Whalers girls lacrosse team lost to top-seeded Sandwich in the Division 4 quarterfinal 20-5 Thursday evening, ending their playoff run after a 16-2 regular season.

🥍 The #2 Whalers boys lacrosse team beat #15 Rockland handily 17-1 Wednesday in the Round of 16 to move on to the state quarterfinals, where they will face either Pentucket or Sandwich.

🥍 The #8 girls lacrosse team mounted a miraculous comeback in the final minutes to beat visiting #9 Bromfield in the Round of 16 Monday! They will now travel to take on top-seeded Sandwich.
