Food insecurity impacts 1 out of 5 residents of our island community, and the winter months are particularly tough for many families. We must come together to ensure no one goes hungry this winter.

🍽️ Every meal counts! Our commitment to feeding those in need on Nantucket drives us to create innovative, digital tools like our Food First platform. Organizations like The Warming Place are vital in providing safe shelter and nourishment for those facing homelessness. The Warming Place is located at the Summer Street Church and is open from November 1st to April 30th. They offer hot lunches on Mondays and Thursdays at noon. The daytime shelter is open from 10am to 1pm Monday through Thursday, and the overnight shelter is available every night, with dinner served between 6pm and 7pm.

Meet our Advisors! We’re fortunate to have an outstanding team of advisors who bring their expertise and insight to how to solve the problem of food insecurity on Nantucket. Recently, Rebecca, Bruce, and Sally joined Chris, Doug, Tracy and Peter. We are grateful for their passion and involvement as we work to end hunger on Nantucket.

Nantucket Food Pantry provides over 5,000 prepared meals and nearly 30,000 bags of groceries each year. The Food Pantry supports our neighbors experiencing food insecurity and is a partner in our Food First network which makes it easier for people in need to connect with the programs on-island that can help them.
