Porter Research Lab

We are a research lab at SFASU studying Arthropoda of medical importance using cellular and molecular techniques.

We have a large lab team consisting of graduate and undergraduate students. The Porter Lab, led by Assistant Professor Dr. Lindsay Porter, who is an entomologist specializing in vectors and other arthropods of medical/veterinary significance, is located in historic Nacogdoches, TX at Stephen F. Austin State University in the Department of Biology.

Big wins for our lab this year at the Texas Academy of Sciences! One of our amazing undergrads, Sebastian Torres, won the Cell/Molec Biology Poster Award and our newest grad student, Jacklyn Thompson won a $1,500 research grant. Congrats to both! 🥳🥳🥳🥳
