“We met during our first year of medical school—between adjacent anatomy tanks, sand volleyball games with new friends, and overlapping student organizations. What started as friendship and library study sessions turned into something more, and after one student orthopedic society meeting, we finally went on our first date.
Fast forward 4 years, we got engaged just before Match Day where we couples matched into psychiatry and OB/GYN, and are now navigating residency side by side. Through every challenge, we’ve been each others biggest supporters—and we can’t wait for everything ahead!

I chose alexjayevents to coordinate and plan my wedding because not only have we been friends since we were babies, but we are like family and she knows me better than most people. She’s always so thoughtful and kind, and she puts 110% into everything she does. She also knows how to throw a party! I wouldn’t trust anyone else to help us with our special day!”

Our story started in the most 2020 way possible—sitting in the same Zoom math class, just two names on a screen. It wasn’t until later, in the lobby of our freshman dorm at SFA, that we officially met… all thanks to a late-night Monster run that turned into something way more meaningful than either of us expected. We started talking, became inseparable, and by fall 2021, made it official—and the rest has been our favorite chapter yet.

When it came to planning our wedding, Alex was the only choice. She is incredibly intentional and pours her heart into everything she does, and it shows in every detail. We’ve known Alex as a friend for a while, and that made it even more clear how naturally she brings care, creativity, and thoughtfulness into everything she touches. From the very beginning, alexjayevents stood out in a way that no one else did.
We didn’t just want a planner—we wanted someone who would truly care, who would pour into our day the same way we would. For us, that made the decision easy. It was always Alex 🤍

After years of pouring my heart into weddings, timelines, tiny details, and the moments that make a day unforgettable… I’ve made the difficult decision to close alexjayevents doors until further notice !!! 🥲🩵

This chapter has been one of the greatest joys of my life. I’ve had the honor of standing behind the scenes of so many love stories — calming nerves, fluffing dresses, pinning boutonnieres, fixing the unexpected, and witnessing the magic unfold. Every couple, every family, every vendor, every detailed setup and tear-down has shaped me in the most beautiful way.

Thank you to everyone who trusted me with your day. Thank you to the vendors who have become friends, the clients who have become family, and the community who supported me from the very beginning !!! Your love, your referrals, your belief in my work… it means everything.

While I’m stepping away from weddings/events right now, I’m stepping into a new season of life with my little one on the way 🩵 !!! — this one is filled with growth, rest, and exciting changes ahead !!!

This isn’t goodbye forever — just “see you later.” Trust me.. I will be back 🤪
