As many of you know we closed one chapter of our lives as we sold the ranch yesterday. Today begins a new chapter as we closed on the new property. Now the task of moving horses and getting ready for lessons at the new property. We should be ready in 7-10 days. The new address is 7356 Johnson Shortcut Rd , Conway. We look forward to what the future holds. 😊 I took this picture today.

Announcement to All Boarders, Students, and Families

Dear Boarders, Students, and Families,

We would like to share several important updates regarding upcoming changes at J&R’s Heart Ranch.

First, the Ranch has been sold, and the closing is expected to take place within the next two weeks. As the outgoing owners, we will be preparing the property for transition to the new owners during this period.

With this change, J&R’s Heart Ranch will be relocating to a “new” Heart Ranch location in Conway in early June. At that new location, Jennifer and JLequine Center will be re‑establishing the riding lesson program on a smaller, more focused scale.

The new owners of the current property intend to maintain the majority of the facility as an equine operation, and they have already expressed interest in making several meaningful improvements to the grounds and infrastructure. Expect to hear directly from them shortly.

Originally, we hoped that we would contribute to planned summer activities—including the riding lesson program and our scheduled Horse Camps. However, with the timing of the sale and the number of unknowns involved in the transition, JLequine cannot confidently commit to these programs.

As a result, JLequine will not be able to participate in the 2026 Horse Camp program or offer lessons on the property after the end of May.

Hawley’s Horses LLC is stepping in to fill the gap and will assume all aspects of running the 2026 Horse Camps. If you have signed up for camp your spot is held and you will receive an email in the next couple of days.
Hawley’s Horses is also pursuing the purchase of selected lesson horses to establish a new lesson program under the leadership of Kim Hawley and Jenna Pender. Information regarding lesson schedules, pricing, sign‑up, and payment will be communicated directly by Kim.
For boarders on the property, you will receive email communication shortly to re‑establish agreements with the new company and the new owners of the property.

We appreciate your understanding, your support, and the trust you have placed in us over the years. We remain committed to ensuring a smooth transition here in Myrtle Beach, and we hope to welcome you in Conway once our new facility is ready to host lessons if it be your desire.

We want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas. We will be teaching through mid day on Wednesday 24th. Off the 25th then back the 26th. There will be no lessons Dec 27-4th. We will be having a cutting horse show at the barn. Show dates are dec 28-30 jan 2-4. Fell free to stop by and watch.
