Can I tell you something that’s been on my heart?!! 💙💙

When I was younger, I was sent away. I didn’t come home until I was 18…

Before that, I had friends I loved. (And still do!!) But when you’re gone for years, life doesn’t stand still. People grow up, friendships change, and somehow I never found my way back to the relationships I once had….

So now, as an adult, I catch myself longing for something I hear so many people talk about… that childhood best friend. The one who’s been there through every season of life.

Sometimes I wonder what that would’ve been like.

Maybe that’s why I love people so deeply. Maybe that’s why I get excited when someone wants to spend time with me. Maybe that’s why I can also pull away sometimes… because I’m afraid of losing people all over again.

I’m still learning that friendships don’t have to be perfect to be real.

I guess I’m sharing this because someone else might be carrying a story that nobody can see.

So if someone seems distant… or overly excited… or a little different than you expected… maybe there’s a reason.

We never really know what someone has walked through.

So instead of judging people, let’s choose to love each other a little better. ❤️

As for me… I’m done looking back at the friendships I lost. Those memories will always be part of my story, but they don’t have to define my future.

I’m choosing to look forward.

To new friendships.
To new memories.
To the people who are meant to walk beside me in this next chapter.

And if you’re feeling lonely, wishing you had “your people”… don’t give up. You’re not alone.

The best chapters of our lives don’t always begin in childhood. Sometimes they’re still waiting for us. 🤍
