I have relocated to North Carolina and discovered today that I am legally able to perform wedding ceremonies. No need to become a notary, or a delegate or any of the many other things I have done over the years to be able to officiate. This makes me happy.

Big news in South Carolina. So excited for all my friends who are ready to tie the knot!

How thrilling that I may be able to perform weddings in South Carolina in the near future. To me, marriage has always been about love. And marriage equality should be the law of the land. It is right and fair. The first wedding I ever performed was in Ridgefield, CT for two lovely women. I am really excited about the future for so many people that I care about!

This is a photo of Quentin, son of Jose and Kim who I married in Texas last April. Jose is the stepson of my sister Kady. This is cool on so many levels because he is sleeping in the cradle my grandfather made for me.

Looks like I will be officiating my first wedding of 2011 this month! So excited and thrilled for the happy couple!

Fall (and winter) in the desert is so beautiful and perfect for an outdoor wedding. There are some gorgeous locations throughout the valley. Most resorts are planting their winter grass so everything is green, the air is clear so there are fantastic views of the mountains and it is cool enough for the hot air balloons to be up. Gorgeous!
