It has been a while since I've addressed the magic community, so I think it's past time I do so. As many of you may know, I was blind for eight years, the last two years of which I was fully blind. Over the last year, I went through four surgeries to correct my vision and can now see again.

I will be doing my first public performance on July 14th, 6pm at the Hill Street Park for “Food Not Bombs”, half of our tax dollars are spent on war while half of the food we grow gets thrown away, and now that I can see again I would like to help correct that problem.

Not planning on anything elaborate, just my short five-ten minute street show wearing the new jacket that I've been working on that has all sorts of secret pockets sewn into it. This will be a totally free event, I will not be passing any hat and nobody is going to ask you for any money, just going to be having fun in the park.

I'm also preparing to film some more magic tutorials including my take on cups and balls, something I've been working on for a long time, much of the scripting was done while I was blind and I'm very much looking forward to being able to finally film it.

Johnny Carson would give first time acts three to five minutes, but upon seeing Lance Burton in rehearsal, for the first and only time he gave Lance twelve minutes to do his entire FISM act. I searched for this video for years, just found out it was uploaded two years ago.

I'm glad I got to see it, his Hacienda performance was only a subset of this, for example he had stopped doing the Zombie Ball in his live shows when I saw him. But I also notice this performance doesn't include all of his cigarette manipulation, like where he steps on it to extinguish it and it reappears behind the card fan.

I remember leaving the theater thinking "wow, I just saw a real magician for the first time in my life!" ... highly recommendv fans of magic watch this one. :)

I've been going through old videos of me performing, I'd say this is one of my better ones.

The camera girl has been trained and knew to spin around to get a shot of the entire crowd and she's seen the show enough to know what to focus on so you get a good look at "unshuffled".

Magicians may notice that the lemons are still on the table from the previous show, take note of how I fix that problem while everybody is focused on the cards been examined.

I leave one of the lemons on the table for a good reason, which I will reveal in a video In going to be filming soon that will be called "theory of cups and balls". :)

I was given the name "Amazing JoeJoe" because i did amazing magic tricks, when I retired I planned to retire my youtube channel also, but i began to realize that magic tricks is not what makes me amazing ... that my entire life is amazing.

Thus i have decided to reactivate my account and begin posting videos again!

I don't know how old this footage is, about fifteen years ago ... the first live performance of my "As Seen On TV: The JoeJoe Magic Show". It is just a camcorder on a tripod in the back of the room, bootleg quality, can't see the magic but if you know the tricks it is nice to hear the background story for the As Seen On TV concept, it is more than just cheap gimmick. :)

I have just finished going through all my YouTube videos and made any "unlisted" magic tutorials "public"; i have done this as without my "magic joint" website there has been no way for magicians to find them.

So now my content is accessible through the standard YouTube search function.

This includes my Crowd Goes Wild lecture, Web Spinner DVD, and my Super Spinner DVD. I consider these all "open source" through my "pass the hat" license, you can find a PayPal link on the video descriptions.
