Spent Thanksgiving in the southeastern Kentucky area and made it to Cumberland Falls for Thanksgiving dinner and of course for and flying in. Will need to go back in the summer to get some color

Southport and Oak Island, NC Quick video of my family's trip to the beach this summer. Had to go flying some while I was there. :) ...

Had to run to Paintsville for a family matter and ran by Johnson Central High School for a few minutes to grab a quick photo of their football field.

Part of the waterfront in Southport includes several places to eat including Fishy Fishy Cafe and Frying Pan Southport NC. You can also visit the American Fish Company where you can enjoy liver music and drinks on the waterfront.

The Oak Island Lighthouse towers over the ocean at Caswell Beach. The lighthouse was completed in 1958 at a total cost of $110,000.00. The lights are 169 feet above the water. A misconception is that the lighthouse itself is 169 feet tall. The actual structure is 153 feet tall, but it stands on a slight rise. Therefore, the height of the light above the water is 169 feet, and it is so reported on nautical charts.
