This week, students in the Networking Major delved into the fascinating world of Copper Cable and its requirements. They gained a clear understanding of the various types of cables and connectors, as well as the appropriate type for different solutions. Students were given the opportunity to apply their knowledge and put their hands-on skills to the test. Using industry tools, they practiced creating and testing Twisted Pair Cat5e T568B Straight-Through and T568A Crossover cables, all while adhering to industry standards.

What has been happening in the Networking Major you ask? They javelin been learning how to configure and secure switches and routers using virtual labs along with Cisco Packet Tracer. As they learn a little more they will then be able to physically secure and configure them.

Another CyberPatriot season has completed, and another successfully effort for the students. I am very proud of their hard work and dedication. If you want to be in the IT industry working in the Networking or Cybersecurity industries then you should be taking part of the Networking Major at and work towards getting yourself certified.

If you are planning to be in the IT industry, then you should explore the opportunities available at in the Networking major. This is necessary knowledge to help you if you desire to be a Programmer, in Cybersecurity, or further your career in Network Administration. Come for the opportunity to obtain industry certicaions and get a jump start on your career pathway. #
