Pay no state sales tax on computers, printers, printer supplies, computer software, earbuds and headphones, school supplies and clothing. Computer parts and peripherals are eligible only if bundled with a computer.

*This South Carolina sales tax holiday starts at 12:01 a.m. on Friday, August 4, 2023, and ends at 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, August 6, 2023. During the tax holiday, purchases of qualifying items for personal use, including but not limited to: computers, printers, printer supplies, computer software, earbuds and headphones, school supplies, certain bedding and bath supplies, and clothing are exempt from sales tax subject to Department of Revenue guidelines.

Sales of computer parts and peripherals are eligible for the exemption only if sold as part of a bundled computer package. For details, see the South Carolina Department of Revenue website.
