Recently, shift personnel conducted training with our fire boat, practicing flowing water from the vessel to improve efficiency and readiness.
This training helps ensure our crews are prepared to respond to vessel fires and incidents near waterways while continuing to provide the highest level of service to our community.

This morning shortly before 8am, Muscle Shoals Fire units responded to a reported structure fire in our Number 2 district. Engine 2 arrived on scene and reported smoke coming from a one-story commercial building. Shortly after arrival, it was determined that the fire had already been extinguished by the business staff prior to our arrival.
Muscle Shoals Fire personnel remained on scene to ensure the fire was completely extinguished, check for any extension, and remove smoke from the building.
We would like to thank the Muscle Shoals Electric Department and the Muscle Shoals Police Department for their quick response and assistance during the incident.

When emergencies happen, every life matters — including our four-legged family members. In house fires and smoke-related emergencies, pets are especially vulnerable to smoke inhalation, and standard oxygen masks made for humans are not effective for animals.
The members of Muscle Shoals Fire Department would like to sincerely thank Dalton Pharmacy for generously donating new pet oxygen mask kits for all four of our stations. Dalton Pharmacy previously donated pet oxygen masks to our department several years ago, and those masks have been used numerous times by our firefighters to help save the lives of pets during fire and smoke emergencies.
These new updated masks come as individual kits and will help us continue providing lifesaving oxygen care to animals when every second counts. We are extremely grateful for Dalton Pharmacy’s continued support and commitment to helping us protect both our community and their pets.
Thank you again for continuing to invest in our department and helping us save lives.
