Today, I’m asking our Shoals Bistro family and community to lift someone very special up in prayer.

Our sweet Ashton Duncan isn’t just part of our team—she’s family. If you’ve ever met her, you know exactly what I mean. She’s one of the most selfless, caring, and genuinely joyful people you’ll ever encounter. Her smile lights up a room, her energy is contagious, and she has a way of making everyone around her feel loved and valued.

Last week, Ashton received some unexpected and frightening medical news. She is facing major surgery next Tuesday to remove a large mass, and while we’re still waiting for answers, the possibility of cancer is something no one should have to face alone.

Right now, we’re asking for prayers—for strength, peace, healing, wisdom for her medical team, and the very best possible outcome. We believe in the power of prayer, and we know this community shows up when it matters most.

Ashton will also be facing a lengthy recovery, so during the next several weeks I, Brandy Moreno, will be handling bookings and scheduling while she focuses on healing. If you need anything or would like to book with us, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me directly.

Last week was Hospital Week, and we had an absolute blast creating this year’s superhero backdrop install for North Alabama Medical Center! 🦸‍♂️🦸‍♀️💥

This was our FIFTH year getting to be part of this tradition, and we just have to give a huge Thank You to Mitchell-Hollingsworth Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, LLC for booking with us every year 🥰🥰

We truly love getting to help celebrate the incredible people who work in healthcare every day. From nurses and doctors to techs, housekeeping, dietary, administration, EMS, and everyone in between — y’all are the real superheroes. ❤️

Thank you for everything you do for our community day in and day out. We’re so thankful we get to be a small part of it each year, and we’re already excited for the next one! 💥✨

April is Autism Awareness Month 💙

This month means so much to me personally. My daughter, Bella, is autistic—and she is the heart behind Bella Event Co. She inspires me every single day and reminds me how beautiful it is that not all minds think alike.

We’re so grateful for the continued opportunity to work with Every Piece Matters Autism Awareness. This is our fourth or fifth year being part of this event, and it’s something we look forward to every single time. Being able to donate our backdrop and balloon install for such an important cause year after year truly means a lot to us.

Shoals Bistro was also proud to contribute to the cause by donating a tres leches cake, strawberry pretzel salad, and a fudgy pecan cake for their silent auction.

Second school dance in two weeks and we just had to bring it back for McBride Elementary School — because honestly, how could we not?!

Soft pinks, sparkly details, and a statement bow right in the center to tie it all together (literally 💁‍♀️). Watching this space transform into a princess-perfect photo spot was pure magic ✨

Tonight’s the night for Russellville Elementary’s Father/Daughter Dance — and we are OBSESSED with this backdrop! 💖✨

From the glam balloon arch to the shimmer wall and those big glowing “RES” letters — plus that GIANT custom-made bow front and center (yes, we’re so proud of her 🤭🎀) — this setup is giving full-on main-character energy! The beautiful doorway swag was done by the amazing Nacho with Mountain Lakes Events & Rentals who never disappoints!🥰
