Please join us in congratulating Mr. Garrett Melton on passing the Civil FE Exam! The Fundamentals of Engineering exam is the first milestone toward earning a Professional Engineer's license.

The FE Exam is a comprehensive test covering core engineering principles, from statics and fluid mechanics to surveying and materials science. Passing it is the first official step toward earning that PE license, a credential that takes years of study and hands-on experience to achieve.

Mr. Melton graduated from Coastal Carolina University in 2020, part of the first graduating class with ABET accreditation. He joined The EARTHWORKS Group in October 2021 and has become an essential member of our team, working within our structural engineering group on design, site assessments, and construction phase services.

This achievement is a testament to Mr. Melton's hard work and dedication, and we couldn't be prouder to have him on our team.

Earlier this year, Winyah Dental Group opened the doors to their newest office in Georgetown and we were thrilled to be part of the project!

Our team provided full-service design for this project, including landscaping, architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design. Once the permitting drawings were complete, we stayed on through the construction phase to support the client and contractor with in-field questions and design changes, making sure everything came together the right way.

Congratulations to Winyah Dental Group!! We hope this beautiful new building brings plenty of clean smiles to the City of Georgetown for years to come!

There's nothing quite like a waterfront project.

Two years ago, we helped Riverside Marina & Boatyard bring this Intracoastal Waterway boatyard to life — and it's been welcoming local and visiting boaters ever since.

Supporting a marina project of this scope meant navigating a complex regulatory landscape. Our team provided local, state, and federal agency coordination, site design, sediment and erosion control, grading and drainage design, and landscaping design — all tailored to the unique demands of a waterfront property.

On the structural side, we engineered the drop well system, including the bulkhead, the track system supporting the boat lift, and the wood-framed walkways and covered structures throughout the property.

Our client put in the vision and the hard work. We're glad we could provide the engineering foundation to help them get there.
