The Garden City Baptist Youth had a wonderful time at Journey Camp 2022! Throughout the week we saw over 40 students give their lives to Christ, and countless others who recommitted their lives to Him, accepted a call to ministry, and show interest in missions work.
In our students, I saw impactful conversations about living out their faith happening, friendships deepening, interest in learning to share their faith with those around them, and other awesome ways that God was working. Thank you so much to our Church family who continues to support our Youth and make it possible for them to take part in these life-changing weeks.

Journey Camp 2022 - Garden City Baptist

Some months ago, we noticed that our basketball court was in disrepair. The court was dirty, the goals were dry-rotted and broken, and the rims were bent. Over the course of a few months, a plan was put in place to re-vitalize the court so that it could once again be used in Youth and Kid’s Ministry, as well as a ministry to our community. Many church members of all ages came together to pressure wash the court, remove the old goals, research and purchase new goals, and install the new ones! I wanted to take a moment to thank everyone involved in the process and share a few pictures from the process.

Our church family spoils our youth with some delicious dinners each week. A huge thanks to the many members who make sure our youth are fed well each Sunday night!

The youth had a great time at 810 bowling this last Sunday. A night full of strikes and smiles!

Purchasing items and packing boxes was one of my favorite outings as a youth, so I was so happy to see the way our youth also enjoyed participating in Operation Christmas Child!

What an awesome night with the group last night! Keep bringing on those HARD questions about faith! We really dug in last night!

This month, well be doing a series out of Roman's during our Sunday School hour, focusing on "stretching" our faith. Our faith is a bit like working out in that it take intentional effort and commitment if we want to see growth and results. This series will focus on helping students commit to growing their faith and building lifelong habits that will draw them closer to their Savior!

Show some love to our student athletes! Griffin Bailey and Hayden Broz both made the SJMS football team! Congratulations guys! Prayers for a fun, safe season!
