Today we mourn the loss of one of my personal heroes, Tom Petty. Tom Petty has been the inspiration that has driven my passion for music, song writing, and the guitar; which has ultimately plotted the entire course of my professional (and personal) life. He is a constant example in the work we do at Full Fidelity Studio. He was even more than an impeccable song writer. His discography over his 40 year career is nothing short of incredible. The sheer number of hits aside, his constant pursuit of making not just great songs, but great records is inspiring. He was a pioneer for alternative rock, and has helped define several generations of musicians, myself included. He changed the industry with his fight for fair publishing. His passion and respect for the art form was still very apparent in his live performances (which I am incredibly grateful to have seen this previous summer). Even after 40 years.

My heart is broken. We love you Tom Petty.
