Mental health conditions have long had a negative stigma, especially among first responders, even though their work experiences may make them more at risk for developing behavioral health conditions. We applaud the Pleasant Grove City Fire Department - PGFD for taking steps to dissolve that stigma and help their firefighters.

The Utah Department of Human Services partnered with Davis Behavioral Health to change a youth detention center into the Farmington Bay Youth Center. This will allow youth to receive the help they need without ever having to go through the justice program and without taking them out of their homes. Utah is working on building more partnerships and centers like this one. Great things are happening!
