This will be a perfect weekend for a car show on Sunday. Come out and enjoy the cars and vendors. While there check out our new local school The School of Innovation. Proceeds will go to the students to build a t- bucket. How cool is that. See you there PS.. the students built the trophy’s and do much more

Thought you all might be interested in a short version of the ghost that resided in my old upstate NY location.
We occupied that building for 35 or more years. The spirit of a young girl was seen and felt by all who worked in my shop. Many late nights our chimes would be going. She only scared one of our delivery guys one time, otherwise she was friendly.
We had a healer come to our store and he told us she died there when there was a house at the location. The house was moved and her spirit stayed with the property. He did a ritual to have her move on. It worked; we never felt her presence after that.
He hung the chair, pictured below, on the wall in our office (in NY) and told us to leave it there in case she came back.
Well here it is years later, after renting the place out for awhile and just recently selling it to a friend, the chair is still hanging right where it was placed and no more interactions or sightings

Our Story
NOS previously located in Troy, NY since 1981 is located at 93 Rockridge Road in Murphy, NC Open 10 -3 Fridays and Saturdays. This little barn is tucked away on my property about 2 miles in from route 64 off Caney Creek Road, Murphy. I also have a location just inside Marketplace Antiques on Peachtree St. in the little downtown of Murphy, NC, which is open 7 days a week. I carry different merchandise at each location. After 33 years in NY my family decided it was time for a change. Although we loved our store in NY we wanted better climate, lower taxes and a slower pace. So the adventure began in 2010 when my husband Gary and I purchased a home in Murphy. What a incredibly beautiful area, so fortunate to have found this area. Every day I am in awe of the layers of mountains. Couldn't get any better in my opinion. Well anyway,` I thought I was going to just retire, but I found myself setting up at Marketplace Antiques. This is a really nice shop with a mixture of New, Old and gently used products from many vendors. I am into my 6th year there and opened my barn location at home May of 2018. I sell retail at this location and plan adding on-line in the near future. Have to admit I am a bit slow at that, so if you see something on facebook and need it shipped just call or text. New products arrive each week filling this little barn to the brim. Please visit this location to see a unique blend of inventory from furniture (American made) to candles, gifts, honey & jams and so much more.
