ATTENTION GRAPHIC DESIGNERS— we invite you to a must-attend talk by visiting designer Kaleena Sales TONIGHT from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. in AJ 225. 💻🗣️

Kaleena’s work challenges the traditional Eurocentric design industry, offering an important perspective on how culture, identity, and experiences shape design.

Visiting designers often do not come to the School of Art; this is your chance to engage with an expert who is actively redefining the field.

About Kaleena Sales:

Kaleena Sales is an Associate Professor of Graphic Design and Chair of the Department of Art and Design at Tennessee State University. Her research and writing focus on racial justice and equity, exploring how culture informs design aesthetics. She is the co-author of Extra-Bold: A Feminist, Inclusive, Anti-Racist, Non-Binary Field Guide for Graphic Designers and editor of Centered: People and Ideas Diversifying Design, published by Princeton Architectural Press.
