Thank you for having us be part of your inaugural Pride Prosperity Marketplace featuring LGBTQ+ Small Businesses in the Bay Area. Amazing amount of support all day and couldn’t have been happier to bake for you all.

Between baby showers, graduations, and retirements we are always so grateful to be part of so many new beginnings.

These past two weeks have been an absolute whirlwind of parties and private events on top of our usual orders, and there’s still no ending in sight.

Taking this little downtime to take a breather and extend much gratitude to all of you having us part of your life’s moments. We are always delighted to be here for you.

It’s been 5 days and we’re rested, debriefed, and feeling like ourselves again.

It’s crazy to realize a personal + business milestone was achieved at the festival, and now it’s time to reevaluate our overall goals and priorities. After diving deep into how we can improve ourselves in the long run, ultimately we decided the main focus will shift toward more pop ups, and overall product consistency.

Still not sure how it’s all going to happen, but the intention is there. There may be a few changes happening here and there, but at the end of it all we’re still baking some addicting cookies.

Side note: It became apparent none of us took photos of the booth before service nor did we get a group shot of all the family and friends that showed up so these two photo are our only reference at the moment.

Our first pop up was at the San Jose Nikkei Matsuri Festival in 2022. And come Sunday, we’ll make our second public appearance, ever.

As our kitchen becomes more active these next couple of days, it’s easy to be reminded of the excitement and anxiety leading up the first event. The opportunity to showcase our cookies to a wider audience was the primary motivation to participate. But with little expectations, there was no reference on how many cookies to prepare and if they would even be well received.

It was only after we set up our booth did we take a deep breath and let whatever was meant to happen, happen. And what happened was we saw family and friends show their support. We connected with new members of our community. We saw smiles on people’s faces eating our cookies. And we sold out. And suddenly, everything became more real.

One year later, and we’re back. Still excited. Still a little anxious. But more committed in enjoying ourselves and doing what we do best. Making our best versions of home made cookies for you to enjoy.

Deliveries are done and we’re taking the next few weeks “off” to prepare for the Nikkei Matsuri Festival () on Sunday, April 23rd.

We’re excited to share our menu and behind the scenes prep putting it together so stay tuned and will see you all in San Jose Japantown!
