One of the original Computer Aided Engineering companies. In mid-1980s, it had a subsidiary in Germany, Daisy Systems GmbH and one in Israel.
Sticking too long with proprietary hardware, and attempting a hostile takeover of the market leader in an area that Daisy was looking to expand, ultimately killed the company. Daisy Systems Corporation incorporated in 1981 in Mountain View, California, was a computer-aided engineering, CAE, company, a pioneer in the Electronic design automation (EDA) industry. Starting in 1988, three smart-asses at Daisy wrote a newsletter lampooning the CAE industry entitled, "What's Up DAC?" I found all three copies and have scanned and posted them in the photos. The smart-asses kinda got busted printing copies at Quickturn one Saturday afternoon in 1990.
