My new job and the weather (pouring rain then stifling hot) has sidetracked my garden and me this summer. Here are a few end-of-June bouquets. Other than these, my flower harvesting has been limited to say the least. Looking forward to getting back at it next summer! Stay tuned!

Summer is usually bright and bold, but it can also be soft and romantic. I love them both. Which is your favorite?

Good Morning, Ranunculus!! ☀️

My first Ranunculus of the season. If this doesn’t say Easter, I don’t know what does! (It’s a little prettier than how it started out! 😂 Baby pics in the comments.)

I can’t think of a more beautiful place for my first three cut flowers of the season to go than to my mom on the day she retires from the Stone County Library! She has faithfully served our community for over 20 years, and I’m so proud of her!

Pinks and yellows remind me of strawberry lemonade on hot summer days. Stay cool out there! 🏖️

Orach Ruby Gold wins! 🏆 First cool flower to germinate! Orach isn’t a super popular flower to grow. It’s most useful as a cut flower in arrangements - bringing in gorgeous color, height, and a unique texture. It can be a little hard to find. This one is from Floret, but unfortunately, they don’t sell it anymore. If you can find this beauty, it’s definitely worth growing!

Did you know that every Dahlia grown from seed is 100% unique? This new Dahlia was just born into the world! Let’s name her! Give me some ideas in the comments below. The person whose name I choose will receive a free tuber in the fall to grow on next year!

See this seed? It has everything inside that tiny little space it needs to become one of these beauties. Potential is an amazing thing.
