Sometimes a deep breath, a sip of coffee, or a moment of gratitude is enough to help us reset. Other times, our stress shows - and that's okay. Those moments can become an important opportunity for us to model emotional regulation. When students see adults acknowledge their feelings, manage challenges, and respond with self-compassion, they learn that emotions are a normal part of being human. Read our June newsletter to learn why our imperfect moments may be some of our most important teaching moments.

Today is Juneteenth, a day that commemorates the emancipation of enslaved African Americans and marks the moment freedom finally reached those in Galveston, Texas on June 19, 1865.
As we celebrate the resilience, achievements, and contributions of Black communities, we also reflect on our nation's history and recommit ourselves to advancing equity, justice, and belonging for all. At Acknowledge Alliance, we recognize that supporting mental health and well-being includes creating communities where every person feels seen, valued, and empowered to thrive.
