Judy Drive In

Good morning Judy Fam! Time for a little explanation...
We are late posting our weekend lineup and for good reason...if you had passed the theatre the last couple of days, you might have an idea what we were up to...late night cars on the field on a weeknight and lights on, test patterns on the screen, playing trailers in a loop, etc. To put it short and sweet, we retired Betsy, our aging Barco projector that had faithfully served us well since 2013, being the first digital drive in theatre in the state. She has lit Screen 1 Since May of 2013 and has done a wonderful job. We are proud of the pictures we put up; it's a source of pride. Now the good gets better. Thanks to Total Cinema Solutions, we are now sporting one of the brightest Christie Digital Projectors of it's kind. Our Tech wanted to do a final run through last night and we wanted to make sure all was well before we announced the lineups.

What does this mean for you, the loyal Judy Fan?
1) A brighter, sharper picture with more contrast and depth.
2) With new sound processing, a more full rich, full mix that really shines with today's movie soundtracks.

Screen 1 Installed and Ready! Screen 2 will follow with a slightly smaller projector offering the same benefits. We love you guys and want you to have the best! When the opportunity presented itself, we jumped. Thanks for your patience in waiting for this weekend's shows. Come see the difference this weekend!

We will update the weekend schedule after tonight...why? Well, we might just have a surprise for ya! :) Say a prayer and keep fingers crossed...

So, no one jinx it...lol...but the weather looks to be getting better and they do say third time is the charm...so for the THIRD TIME...WELCOME BACK TO THE DRIVE IN!!

This is the event that we had scheduled for May 16th when the forecast called for hail storms. (Show cars do not do well in hail storms, no car does really...lol) Out of concern for our classics and the people who love em' we moved the show. Last week rain turned the field into a swamp (which would have been perfect for Shrek, but not for the cars that would get stuck watching it) So strike two.

As we said third time is the charm and we are so looking forward to this. THIS SATURDAY, MAY 30th (no show FRIDAY MAY 29th) We will start the season with the Drive-In Car Show Sponsored by Kevin Boling Auction and Real Estate. Gates open at 5pm with a TOP 40 Car Show that is FREE to enter.

EVERYONE IS WELCOME!! Don't have a show car? Drive the daily and enjoy BACK TO THE FUTURE (PG) at dusk. Again, FREE OF CHARGE, courtesy of KEVIN BOLING. Be sure to thank him when you see him! This has been such a good event and he puts a lot of time and effort into in each year.

NOT AGAIN!!! (but unfortunately, yes, again)
Shows at the Judy Drive In Theatre will be POSTPONED this weekend. We know many of you were looking forward to our already weather delayed season start, but it looks like we all have to wait another week. We will play the Shrek 25th Anniversary/Mario Galaxy Lineup sometime after the car show.

Our field was already mud as of yesterday. The conditions are continuing to worsen, and with the Flood Watch this morning, we see this being the best course of action. Pulling stuck cars out of the mud was not on our bingo card.

So, again... NO SHOWS THIS FRIDAY AND SATURDAY MAY 22nd and 23rd. Our rescheduled Drive In Car Show with Kevin Boling is currently our next scheduled event on SATURDAY, MAY 30th. The weather looks to improve and we are looking forward to finally getting the season going. We will be adding special events and offerings to our 2026 to make up for the late weather delayed start.

Please be weather aware and stay safe. Have a Happy and Safe Holiday Weekend. We miss you all and hope to see you soon. Please share and get the word out. On-line ticketing will return later this summer as we will be changing service providers to better serve you. We are sorry for the disappointment and delay, but we chose to err on the side of caution and the best interest of our facility, our staff, and our friends and family we are blessed with as patrons and supporters.

With the threat of hail and damaging winds SATURDAY MAY 16, this event has been POSTPONED to SATURDAY MAY 30th. Gates will still open at 5pm. Still a Top 40 Show, and through the generous sponsorship of Kevin Boling Real Auction and Real Estate, it is still a FREE EVENT.

We are so looking forward to this. Hope the weather is great on the 30th! Look for the Holiday Lineup Monday or Tuesday! We plan to be open next weekend with a great lineup!
