Holy wolf teeth Batman! Navi had her first dentist appointment and while she was a very good patient, she has a surprise for us inside her mouth. She had wolf teeth on top AND on bottom, which is super uncommon!! All teeth got extracted so they won’t cause her issues in the future. There’s always something special around here!!!

Diamond has completed her first month here and the changes in this girl are just awesome! She is owned by Stephens Ranch and just barely beginning her under saddle training. Looking forward to seeing what she learns in the next month!

I love this filly so much. At around 18 months old, she ended the year at #33 in halter, out of over 300 horses that earned GVHS halter points for 2021. She travels great and tries so hard for me, even though she’s a baby and of course has baby moments. She’s gotten better and better as the year has passed, and has even given me some really great trail in hand patterns. She’s solid in both mind and body, sweet and willing. I’ve dreamed of owning a horse like her for a very long time, and sometimes I still can’t believe it’s come true! I can’t wait to see how she does as a 2 year old on the 2022 show circuit 😍❤️💗🦄

Had a fantastic time in Fort Worth at the Parade of Lights last night! Our Gypsy Soul of Texas group were all done up so beautifully and the horses handled all the scary sights and sounds well. Navi had a few moments of being really overwhelmed, but she was able to settle back down and relax. It’s a stressful environment for them, especially being at night! Can’t wait to do the parade in Omaha on 12/5!

We wrapped up Nationals 2021 and I just need to give a shout-out to these incredible horses. The 3 mares we took are truly ambassadors for this magical breed.

CC is an aged mare who has spent her life as a well loved pasture pet, and she tolerated us attempting to turn her into a show horse. The try in this mare at her age is impressive, and I hope she passes that quality on to her foals.

Willow has come such a long way this show season and I am so proud of her. At only a year under saddle and much of her training being spaced out across that year, she gave me some absolutely fantastic rides and really tried her hardest, even when she was letting me know that she really wanted to be done. That’s the thing about a good mare, they will give you their opinions, but when you need them they dig deep and give you everything they’ve got. She gets most of 2022 off to raise a foal, but I’m really excited to work with her daughter Diamond and see how far she can go.

Navi has improved every show with her behavior and how she handles the show environment. All I wanted out of this show was to see improvement, and I definitely did! Her trail in hand course was her best yet, despite some handler error. I love this little gal and have some big dreams for her future!

Have had a little tough luck in the riding classes here at nationals, but Willow has been trying her heart out for me and I couldn’t be more proud of her. Yesterday we did our very first ever judged dressage patterns, I am so pleased with the judges comments and at the score percentage improvements in just two tests!! Trail today went well, she gave us some great rides just not quite enough to hit the ribbons. Western pleasure and ranch riding tomorrow, let’s hope we can pull out a win! 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Navi killed it today! On top of her reserve champ in weanling/yearling fillies, she took 3rd out of 23 entries in the Open Color class! I am so beyond proud of my girl. She is handling herself so super well in these big classes too. I just could not be more thrilled with her!

Great start to Gypsy Nationals! First class of the show and baby Navi was so well behaved and took reserve champ out of a nice weanling/yearling fillies class. This girl is growing up so nicely and I am so stinking proud of her, I could cry! This just made the whole year for me. Let’s see what else we can do this week!

Fantastic weekend showing at the Oklahoma State Fair! There was a fantastic turnout of wonderful horses and friends old and new. The horses all tried hard for us and had some very respectable placings in large classes. The trail course was very technical and difficult and I was proud of the horses trying it for us, despite some of the maneuvers being ones they haven’t learned to do yet. Our team is green, but we are learning and doing better every show! Some of the placings (the ones I can remember haha):
