“Sharp Point” #12: We make a living by what we get. We make a life by what we give. — Winston Churchill
“Sharp Point” #116: Continuing to use shears with a “nick” can cause additional, worse damage on the interior of the blades (that is what’s going on if you feel crunchy/sandy friction during cut). A nick in one blade can also negatively impact the other blade. To use an analogy, it's like driving a car with a flat tire — you will eventually cause more damage.

“Sharp Tip” #10: A hairstylist can help define you.
Delightful Photos Seek to Soften the Image of Pit Bulls A photographer shines a light on the often misunderstood and controversial pit bull.
“Shear Tip” #101: Chase excellence, not dollars. Dollars will find excellence.
(Jeff Hoffman — founder of Priceline)
“Sharp Tip” #40: Any oil applied to your shears is better than no oil at all. Remember that tube of oil that came with your clipper? Well, it’s not that much different from scissor oil. Place a DROP of oil at the pivot (where two blades are fastened together) once every week, minimum. Purpose: Helps “float-out” debris, displaces moisture, and lubricates for smoother operation. No real need to oil the blade/cutting edge (except for extended storage).
“Sharp Tip” #108: LENGTH is NOT what defines shears as “dry cut” shears. Feel free to pass along my contact info to anyone who sells (Emphasis on “SELLS”) you such nonsense; I’ll gladly explain.
“Sharp Tip” #8: Before you leave the salon at the end of EVERY day, HIDE YOUR SHEARS.

"Sharp Tip" #101: Use quality capes that are large, repellant, long lasting, with a dependable closure, and without hair-catching velcro (yuck!).
