Our Stuffed Animal Sleepover is this weekend! Drop off is Friday, June 19, between 9am & 4pm. Your furry friends will enjoy many adventures and escapades before being tucked in for the night. Pick up is Saturday morning between 10-2pm where you can enjoy a slideshow of the sleepover antics! (One animal per child).

Celebrate Pride at MLPL with a screening of the PBS American Experience documentary STONEWALL UPRISING at 6:30 pm, Tuesday, June 30. Filmmakers Kate Davis and David Heilbroner explore the history of the events and people who were a part of the June 28, 1969 uprising at the Stonewall in Greenwich Village in New York. This event is considered the catalyst for the gay rights movement.

Celebrate Pride Month at MLPL. Historian Silas Maxwell Switzer will be at the library 7pm, Monday, June 29, for "Aging with Pride: Q***r Pittsburgh History", that explores the history of Q***r Pittsburgh. Blending archival research and lyric memory, Silas traces the stories that survive and the silences that remain. The evening will reflect on how q***r histories are remembered — or erased — in Pittsburgh’s cultural memory.

Stop in the library this weekend and buy a few tickets for our Annual Raffle Basket Fundraiser. Back again are fan favorites - the 5lb chocolate bar from Sarris, tickets to the Pittsburgh Symphony, a one-night stay in uptown at Springhill Suites.
With 16 baskets to choose from, there is sure be to something for everyone.
Raffle Basket tickets will be available to purchase at our circulation desk until Monday, June 29th.

Join our new teen Summer Table Hockey League! This group meets downstairs in Meeting Room A/B.

Our Adult Summer Reading Industrial Fiction of our Region Book Club will read books that focus on our region's rich industrial history. Read Life in the Iron Mills and other stories by Rebecca Harding Davis for the 7pm, Monday, June 22 session. Books will be available on the Book Club Display near the elevator.
