A quick stop in to Orkis Woodwork to pick up some beautiful white oak for a client. Had it planed down to the thickness I need for a custom cutting board holder. And can’t leave without grabbing one of my favorite T-shirts from Buck Mason.

My clients extra room in the front of their house was the perfect size for a guest room for their busy family. As you can see, it’s open to the dining room causing a serious lack of privacy! By adding a Murphy bed, two small closets on either side with ample storage, it created a perfect space for guests. When the bed is not in use, there is lots of floor space for their young children to play. Rooms that can serve a dual purpose are so important for young busy families! With the new Murphy bed constructed, we took the opportunity to add some much-needed storage on the other side of the wall in the dining room. Finding the exact size buffet with a marble top, adding lighting and an oversized mirror creates the perfect space for entertaining. Much thanks to my talented contractor, for his fantastic work and bringing my vision to life.

Love this transformation. A crumbling brick facade and hearth, this fireplace was due for a makeover. Excel Granite installed the granite slab, Dovetail Homes did the tiling and demo, Annie Skiba did the finishing and painting.

This tiny powder room got a glow up! What was once a full wall of mirror, it now becomes a focal piece. wallpaper, a polished brass mirror from and oversized wall sconces give this tiny bathroom what it needed. Working with the beautiful vintage marble countertops, this small corner becomes something very special. Leaving the commode where it was offered a challenging situation with the window. I custom designed a stained glass window that lets light in while remaining opaque to offer privacy. Brass accents throughout and a big bouquet of fresh flowers rounds out this tiny powder room.
